Matt Kaulig

Matt is Executive Chairman and Founder of Leaf Home Solutions, the parent company of LeafFilter and Leaf Home Safety Solutions. He is a skilled entrepreneur and business owner who has successfully developed the LeafFilter business and the leadership team over the past 14 years. Matt has grown the company from one small office in Stow, Ohio to 57 offices that span across North America.

In addition to his role at Leaf, Matt is also the owner and Executive Chairman of The Kaulig Companies, a single-member family office that includes Kaulig Capital, a private equity, real estate, and investment banking firm; Ellsworth Advisors, a comprehensive financial planning and asset management firm; Kaulig Media, a full service marketing and media agency; Kaulig Racing, which fields two cars in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series; and, The Kaulig Companies Charitable Giving Programs, that seeks to assist in solving significant challenges for the lives of individuals through the giving of time and financial assets.

Before founding Leaf, Matt worked as a Sales Manager at Erie Construction, where he worked for 7 years after college, selling a wide range of home products. Matt graduated from the University of Akron with a BBA in Marketing Management and quarterbacked the varsity football team.


    Chief Executive Officer & President

    Jeff Beck

    Jeff is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Leaf Home Solutions and has over 16 years of industry experience rooted in project management, information technology, operations, and leadership. Since joining Leaf in March 2014, Jeff has transformed the internal business operations of the company, implementing innovative technology that has fostered unmatched scale.

    By building an in-house digital marketing team, Jeff has developed a metric-driven, omni-channel marketing strategy and a custom ERP application that has optimized Leaf’s national brand recognition and expanded its customer base.

    Prior to responsibilities across technology, operations and leadership at Leaf, Jeff was a Managing Partner at business consulting firm Avvenire Solutions and Consultant at DeCarlo, Paternite and Associates Inc., where he worked to provide technology-focused solutions to companies. Jeff earned a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Kent State University.


      Chief Sales Officer

      Chris Counahan

      Chris is the Chief Sales Officer of Leaf Home Solutions. He manages Leaf’s growing network of customer service delivery centers and sales teams, consisting of almost a hundred field managers and over 700 sales representatives. Chris has helped drive the expansion of Leaf and sustain high-quality DTC sales and installation services in all field locations.

      Before joining the company in June 2012, Chris served as VP of Sales at Owens Corning, a global leader in insulation, roofing and composites, for over 11 years. Prior to his tenure at Owens Corning, Chris worked alongside Matt as a Sales Manager at Erie Construction, a position he held for over 3 years. Chris holds a BS in Sociology from the University of Akron, where he played football for four years.


        Chief Operating Officer

        Rocco Mango

        Rocco is the Chief Operating Officer of Leaf Home Solutions. Rocco joined Leaf in January 2019 from Performance Health, where he served as the Chief Manufacturing, Product and Innovation Officer. Rocco brings extensive expertise in manufacturing, research & development, commercialization and capacity expansion to Leaf.

        Serving as a manager, director, Vice President, and General Manager across business units at The Lubrizol Corporation for nearly two decades, Rocco led business growth, restructuring and strategic planning programs to increase productivity and profitability. Rocco has also guided a number of companies through successful private equity acquisitions and managed companies under private equity ownership. Rocco earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.


          Vice President of Product Development

          Mike Gori

          Mike is the Vice President of Product Development at Leaf Home Solutions. Currently, Mike leads the R&D Team in the design, patent and roll-out of LeafFilter’s new fascia and half-round style gutter solutions. He has extensive product development and IP expertise combined with significant experience in adjacency mapping and end-user and consumer research. Mike’s contributions to Leaf include significant IP and product capability expansion, implementing multi-sourcing manufacturing partnerships and lowering overall material cost.

          Before joining Leaf, Mike worked as VP of Product Management at the private equity backed AZEK Building Products (now CGP International LLC) where he drove external investment in the company’s product development. Mike earned a B.A.SC. in Psychology from the University of Ohio.


            Chief Financial Officer

            Chris Nagel

            Chris is the Chief Financial Officer of Leaf Home Solutions with over two decades of experience as a financial executive. Prior to joining Leaf Home Solutions in June 2019, Chris served as CFO of Springs Window Fashions in Madison, Wisconsin. While at Springs, Chris helped execute a number of acquisitions as well as the successful sale of the company to another private equity sponsor.

            Prior to joining Springs, Chris served as CFO and Executive Vice President of Finance of Fairmount Santrol, a sand reserve and manufacturer serving international oil and gas markets. During his four-year tenure at Fairmount Santrol, Chris played an instrumental role in leading the Company through its accelerated IPO, increasing revenue to over $1.4 billion and facilitating acquisitions totaling $475 million.

            Previously, Chris spent nine years in various roles at Scotts Miracle-Gro, including Chief Financial Officer, overseeing investor relations, strategy and business development. Chris was named as one of Crain’s Cleveland’s CFOs of the Year in 2015 and previously served on the board of the Cleveland Zoological Society. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University.
